      Photos from Tour: A Jump Start to the 2023 Season (Preview)

    1. Kicking off the new season with vigor! Dancer Anna Wang prepares for two sold-out performances in Edinburgh, UK.
    2. Stretching is of course another key part of performance prep! Dancers Sophie Shao and Anna Wang work on their oversplits.
    3. The Balmoral, a five-star hotel and landmark in Edinburgh, stands majestically against the crystal blue sky.
    4. January may be the coldest month to visit Edinburgh, but there's nothing like warming up with a bowl of ramen.
    5. Another great way to brighten a cold day? Make a stop at a donut shop!
    6. The group is all smiles after the sweet treat. And the calories will be burned in no time!
    7. On a day off, principal dancer Nara Oose sets out to explore the Royal Mile—Edinburgh's most famous street.
    8. Nara is joined by fellow dancers Karina Fu and  Jessica Si. Christmas may be over, but the holiday spirit is still alive.
    9. While visiting London, principal dancers Michelle Lian and Angelia Wang hop off the tube at the famous Covent Garden.
    10. One of the most spectacular in London, the Christmas tree in Covent Garden's historic Piazza is over 60 feet tall!
    11. After 11 successful performances across 4 UK cities, Shen Yun New York Company is on the plane back to the United States. Shen Yun will be back in London in April. Can't wait!
    12. Meanwhile, dancers from the  Shen Yun Global Company celebrate after 10 well-received performances in Berlin ⁠— the first stop on their 2023 European Tour.
    13. The artists love the experiences each city  has to offer. Berlin Cathedral's stunning copper dome is a highlight of the city's skyline.

    15. More than thirty years after its fall, the Berlin Wall still evokes feelings of sadness and sorrow.
    16. Across the pond in America, dancers from the Shen Yun New Era Company stretch their legs after a ten-hour bus ride from Berkeley, California, to Portland, Oregon.
    17. In Dallas, Texas, principal dancers Olivia Chang & Ellie Rao from the Shen Yun International Company warm up before performing at the Winspear Opera House.
    18. Sideways, forward, backward, and even forward while moving backward—a variety of  kicks  are key elements of classical Chinese dance.

    20. At the next level up, the zi jin guan jump is an explosive technique performed midair.
    21. Principal dancer William Li is ready to immerse himself in the World of Coca-Cola, a museum in Atlanta, Georgia.
    22. A dancer prepares himself for the tasting room —where you can sample over 100 Coca-Cola beverages from around the world—with an aerial.

    33. The bamboo forest in the beautiful Kamakura Performing Arts Center instills in the training session a sense of peace and serenity.
    34. To enter Sensō-ji, the oldest temple in Tokyo, you must first pass through the Hozomon Gate. The red lantern (known as <I>chōchin</I> in Japanese) weighs a whopping 880 pounds!
    35. One of Japan's most well-known sites, the O-Torii (Grand Torii Gate) seems to float in the sea during high tide.
