  • After spending five months in hotels, theaters, and buses, being surrounded by nature really reorients you.
  • Luna Yu and Nara Cho didn't travel very far—here they are at the Bashakill Vineyards, New York, enjoying the warm weather. (Photo by dancer Cindy Liu)
  • Nearly 5,000 miles away in Meteora, Greece, dancer Daniella Wollensak poses with the monastery of St. Stephen. Now a nunnery, the building is accessible by a small bridge and its mountaintop location makes it seem suspended in midair.
  • The nearby monastery of Varlaam seen from a different mountaintop.
  • Reaching for the sky on Philopappos Hill in Athens.
  • The majestic Parthenon looms ahead.
  • Daniella sits in the ancient theater of Epidaurus. She says that being in an ancient theater in the country where theater was born is really cool!
  • For violist Rachel Chen, spending five months in relatively cold places this tour meant it was time to head somewhere tropical for vacation. Behold the view of Ocho Rios, Jamaica from her resort.
  • Welcome to the Cool Blue Hole (or Irie Blue Hole), nestled in the mountains above Ocho Rios. Serene waterfalls and cool swimming pools like this one make for a relaxing afternoon.
  • Making new friends at the Dolphin Cove.
  • Dancer Stephanie Guo heads in a very different direction for break. The colorful onion domes of Moscow, Russia beckoned.
  • The Monument to Minin and Pozharsky outside St. Basil's Cathedral in Moscow. This statue commemorates a merchant and a prince who gathered a volunteer Russian army to defend the country from invading Polish forces in the early 1600s.
  • Celebrating the 2018 FIFA World Cup with Mom—at the Kremlin!
  • Red paint and the golden-tipped spires atop the Kremlin are striking against the blue sky.
  • Sitting on the steps in Cathedral Square.
  • Reaching a height of 338 feet (103 meters), the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, in Moscow, is the tallest Orthodox Christian church in the world.
  • The Bolshoi Theatre has ballet inside, but classical Chinese dance is just outside.
  • The gardens of Peterhof Palace in St. Petersburg, Russia contain over 200 statues and 144 fountains on 500 acres of land. The Grand Cascade of fountains leading up the palace steps includes 64 fountains alone.
  • It's no wonder Peterhof Palace is often referred to as the
  • Japan seems to be a Shen Yun favorite vacation destination. It's not hard to see why with views like this of the iconic Mt. Fuji. (Photo by dancer Kexin Li)
  • On the way to Sengen Shrine at the base of Mt. Fuji.
  • Another view of Mt. Fuji, at the top of Tenjo Mountain. A local myth holds that if you make a wish while ringing this bell and looking through the heart at Mt. Fuji, your wish will come true.
  • In eateries throughout Japan, plastic versions of the meals offered are often displayed in the shop windows. Oh deer, this potential customer seems quite tempted.
  • Not too far from Japan, Dancer Jeff Chuang takes a peaceful walk through a bamboo forest in Alishan, Taiwan...
  • ... and visits a lush tea plantation.
  • After five months of traveling around the world, Shen Yun artists couldn't get enough—here they are on mini-tours of their own.
